First, let me start by saying “thank you” to Alisa for sharing her “I read every morning” list of RSS feeds. I was wondering how she always heard about the fun, cool, hip new tools before me!
But yesterday lifehacker blogged about Crossloop (http://www.crossloop.com/download.html) as a small, easy, app to use to reach through and remotely work with someone else’s computer. Although I have had access to the ability to do this through the school’s level two (??) Breeze technology, I have felt wonky using it because of the ethics of “using” my students’ computers. But, I’m finally reaching the point where I’m using enough “new” technologies that this type of support is becoming necessary.
So…I’m going to cross that line this semester and if a student is really struggling, I’ll offer to work with them using Crossloop. I’ll keep you updated on how that works!

We love the “education” aspect of it all – teaching how to fish rather than giving a fish – one of our core values!
